Biophilic airport TM

This series imagines a biophillic airport terminal and explores how the use of analogy in generative design can uncover novel visual concepts

Terminal Biophile is a speculative airport environment that abandons the harsh geometries of contemporary transit architecture in favor of fluid, biologically-inspired forms. This series reimagines air travel infrastructure as a space of restoration rather than stress, where flowing contours and integrated water features create an oasis-like atmosphere within the typically sterile airport typology.

Each space features continuous surfaces that echo natural formations, integrating seating, architecture, and landscape elements into unified environments. Water cascades through sculptural elements, transforming waiting areas into enclaves restful repose. The work suggests a future where transit hubs prioritize human wellbeing over mere efficiency.

The work proposes that our relationship with travel infrastructure could fundamentally shift when design follows biological rather than mechanical principles—creating spaces that nurture rather than merely process the human body in motion.
