Picture Words
Inspired by Magritte’s "The Treachery of Images" (This is not a pipe) the speaker in the video reads a poem that challenges the relationship between representation and reality. She recites these words to a canvas, which renders a recurrent her portrait in her spoken words in real-time. The portrait continuously evolves as she moves and speaks, producing the effect of paint splatters forming her image, made up of her words.
